Abstract

Long-QT syndrome is a potentially lethal cardiac channelopathy that can be mistaken for palpitations, neurocardiogenic syncope, and epilepsy. Delayed diagnosis of long QT syndrome is frequent. Symptoms are often attributed to alternative diagnoses, most commonly seizure disorders. Long QT syndrome has significant mortality, which is reduced with appropriate management. We aim to underline the importance of clinical awareness and correct management to reduce the fatal cases of this syndrome.
