Acute myeloid leukemia in children [Article in Croatian]
Abstract
Acute myeloid leukemia represents a heterogenous group of hematopoietic malignancies, affecting every age group in childhood. Over the past decades, the treatment of pediatric acute myeloid leukemia has made remarkable progress. Better understanding of the molecular mechanisms of leukemogenesis, more precise risk-group stratifi cation, and new biologically-targeted therapies offer the reasonable promise of further improvement of treatment outcome in these children.
