Lymphomas in children
Abstract
Lymphoma is the third most common cancer in children. In the past twenty years, considerable progress has been made in diagnosis and treatment options. Although genetic, immunological and molecular biological studies have resulted in signifi cant understanding of neoplastic cells, the origin of the disease is still to be established. Large multicentric studies are being carried out with the aim of determining the optimal risk-adapted therapeutic strategies and thus increase the cure rate of pediatric lymphoma.
